"I was hoping for guidance on how to make the correct decision about my next career move. I was unhappy in my current position feeling unchallenged and unmotivated; I knew a change needed to be initiated. Prior to the discussion, I was not sure what direction I wanted to take. Through conversation, we were able to clarify my career goals and aspirations. One thing I learned through this process was: if you want a certain industry, why remain complacent? Go for it now. I realized that it is okay to want something different out of a job/career than your friends, family, colleagues, etc. I learned how to network! And to incorporate an element of experimentation into my career. Make a hypothesis, try something out, adjust as necessary. I grew my Linkedin network. I received and accepted a job offer, and I started a new job! I clarified that I want a larger team to work with. I feel more confident now making career changes.
